Training
Hello coaches,
How to regain motivation and get back in form after a gap of say 2 months?
Hi Naveed,
The main thing is that you need to get back to hitting regularly and enjoying the game. Then the motivation will come.
Against defenders you've generally got a bit more time to make your attack and so you can be more selective on which ball to target. Think about finding your opponent's weaker side and whether they prefer a faster ball coming towards them or a slower ball. Try different spins, speed and placement! Frendy Halim:
I can understand u as I too have gone through such a situation, this is how I tackle it:
1. I tell myself that I am playing this game because I enjoy it, so just play ur best and enjoy ur time at the table.
2. I realize that I have a passion for Table Tennis and I am dedicated to the master the game. So I am just competing with myself to get better and better with each game. I look at my negatives as learning opportunities. Be a good student.
3. u play each ball according to its merit. If it deserves to be attacked, attack, if u feel u will have an advantage if u push or do a tricky placement, do it. If u are not consistent with attacking shots, just practice them a lot. Practice makes a man perfect!
