Receiving
my friend servers an extremely heavy sidespin serve and is also very verrry low
when the ball contacts with the bat ...it automatically goes outside the table
its very annoying.... topspining that ball is also very hard
Hi Yash,
Watch which way the ball goes when it hits your bat. If it goes to the right, then for the next one, angle the bat to the left. This will counter the spin on the ball.
We have a lot of tips on receiving serve in our Receiving Secrets series of lessons. You can access these with a Premium membership. Even if you take out a one month membership to try it out, you will be able to see all of the lessons.
After the ball has left the server's bat, they can no longer affect the spin that is on the ball. Any movements after the contact are referred to as fake movements and are meant to confuse you as the receiver. You need to focus on the contact to read the spin.
