hey, im wondering if you guys could help me out with some little drills or something to help me get better at table tennis without a partner there. i get anoyed having to get the balls when i serve them to a side with no-one there and i really want to practice. :)

sorry if im asking to much from u guys, lachie :)

Hi Lachie,

Take a look at our lesson on Practicing Alone.  This moght give you some ideas.

You could also look at getting a return board or just use a wall to hit against like we show in the lesson.

#12 - Defensive Technique

Although attacking is the most popular style at the top level in Table Tennis, it is important to be able to defend well. If you choose to play a defensive style then you should be practicing these strokes all the time. If you play an attacking stroke then you should still try and find some time for these strokes. If you can win one extra point by defending well when pressured, it could make the difference between winning and losing.
