Hi,

We have a new club member who uses Yasaka anti spin on one side of his blade, OmigaII,s on the other side.

I find it very difficult to attack his anti spin return, or for that matter to even return the ball.

Can you give me some pointers please, I would dearly like to beat this player.

Hi Geoff,

It is difficult to learn to play against Anti-spin unless you get a lot of chances to play against it.

The main principle is that it reverses spin.  It is very similar to playing against Long Pimples.

If you push the first ball you will get an easier ball to attack.  It may be difficult to attack two balls in a row.  If you attack a ball with topspin it will come back with backspin.  You need to lift that next ball more if you are going to topspin again.  You can also push that next ball.

Try to play against it as much as possible.

Geoff, what is his style?  What kind if shots do you have trouble against? I've used antipower on my BH too. It's a good hitting antispin and is effective for close to table attacking.
