Hi, I have a question as I have an opponent who participated in State Tournaments as I . He have such a tall height and is a very good defencer and plays away from the table . On getting opportunity , he attacks also and his attacks are also very good and fast . By fortunate , I have not played any match against him till now but can play in next upcoming  tournaments . So can you give me some tips and tell me some strategies on how to play against him and players like him.

Hi Tushar,

This type of player can be difficult to play.  I find it best to try and keep them defending on the backhand side.  You need to be careful with your pushes so that you don't give them an easy opportunity to attack.  So serve short and keep the ball tight until you are ready to make an attacking stroke.
