I'm a modern penholder, now days everyone's says it's old & difficult to topspin, movement, footwork etc.

But I like penhold, is that ok with penhold to upgrade my state levels by using this grip.

And I'm 6 feet height & also learned backhand grip of modern penhold.

And can I switch penhold to shakehand grip is that ok to handle?

Hi Thangavel,

There are still a lot of high level player playing with the penholder grip.  It is OK to stay with this grip.

I think it is best to stay with one grip throughout a match otherwise you will waste too much time and effort switching between the two.

✔ Track the ball immediately after your shot

✔ Improve your timing, balance, and flow during rallies

Whether you’re a beginner or advanced player, understanding this subtle change can have a big impact on your consistency and speed around the table.
