Hi Alois,

Here is the question,in a match ,when i win the few sets i get very over-confident, i start taking him lightly. As a result i use to lose the remaining sets.

and one more i would like to ask, i usually win with the gud opponent but i get lost with a not so gud opponent. Is this a sign of over confidence?

How to overcome over-confidence

Thanks,
Shreyance

HI Shreyance,

This is a common problem.  You need to ficus more on winning each point.  If you do this it doesn't matter who is at the other end of the table.  You need to focus on working out the appropriate tactic that you are going to employ in that next point.

Playing well against better players is often easier because you don't have as much perceived pressure on yourself.  Again if you are focused on your tactic against each individual player and on each point then you will start to overcome some of these lapses.
