Opponent with pimpled rubber bat

Hi there,

I play with an offensive bat. When I play against an opponent with a pimpled rubber bat I really have a problem to concentrate. Whether I serve long or short, slower or fast the return is always very short and slow and I don't know how to deal with it.  It's not my style at all and I don't seem to be able to return in an effective way.

Can you give me any tips? I'd really appreciate your advice.

Hi Keyvan,

Playing against long pimples is difficult to get used to.  As you have found the ball tends to stop on the table.  Also remember the rubber will reverse the spin on the ball.  Once you get the feel for this  and are able to adjust to the different reactions of the rubber, you will be able to deal with the pimples.
