Hi Alois,

I'm relatively new to the sport again after 25 years. Thanks for all the tutorials and training tips they've been of great help.  Now 18 months in and starting my second season I still struggle to turn short push games into an attacking top spin game, losing points by being plagued with either putting the ball into the net or off the end of the table trying to lift the ball over.  How can I change this ?

Thanks in advance of your help.

regards

Andy

Hi Andy,

Short pushing is a fine art that does take some time to get better.  It relies a lot on touch and also footwork.

A good way to improve it is to practice the "Short Pushing Game".  We show you this in our 52 Week Training Plan in the   #29 - Short Push Return tutorial.

Also take a look at this tutorial on Tactics Against a Good Short Pusher.
