Training

Q1. - I usually plan my off season into three sessions, Stamina (16 weeks), Strength (4 weeks)  and speed (12 weeks) is this about the right split?

Q2. How long should each exercise last, I usually do each exercise for the following times Stamina (10 mins), Strength (6 mins) and Speed(4 mins) are these OK?

Finally, can you tell me where you demonstrate serves close up in slow motion, so I can see where the contact point is and the angle of the bat.

Hi David,

You can combine the training of Stamina, Strength and Speed.  Try to do them on different days though.

I am not an expert in the area but for stamina think about the length of a match.  This is usually 20 minutes to 40 minutes so doing some stamina work around those times is good.

As far as strength and speed it is not so much a matter of time as the exercises that you are doing.  It would be good to see someone with expertise in the area and get their personal advice to suit you.
