Non-hitting arm

Strokes

I play right handed

Would the swinging/use of my left arm up help with greater rotational torque?

I see some plyrs (video) swing/move their non-hitting arm along with hitting the ball

Thanks coach,

Hi Andy,

The non playing arm can help with rotation.  It assists the body to move around faster.  Try both... start by putting your non playing arm behind your back and see how you rotate, then use your arm and see the difference.

The Finish Position

There are 3 basic areas to focus on when learning a stroke: 1) The position of your feet. 2) The starting position of your bat. 3) The finishing position of your bat. Of all these 3 elements the finish position is the most critical. Watch this video to find out why.
