Howdy, i heard that all speed glues that contain some VC's are being banned.

What glues should players use to glue their rubbers onto thei bats now?  Are water based glues banned as well?

Hi Matt,

You must have been reading my mind. I have been preparing a blog on the new ITTF rules which I will publish later this week.

The water based glues are legal and you can use this to stick your rubbers on. All speed glues are being banned and can no longer be used. If you were using speed glue, you can try out the new breed of high tension rubbers. There are plenty coming on the market now that claim to be as good as the old breed of rubbers glued up. I have just bought a pair of Butterfly Tenergy rubbers so when I try them out I'll let you know what I think of them.

Has anyone else had any experiences with the new high tension rubbers?
