Hi Coach,
In Week 6 master class, I am a little confused as to why the ball was not kept in play even though you are hitting the ball in Jeff's comfort zone. I mean this drill is pretty similar to the pingskills drill when it comes to the placement of the ball. Why use multi ball for this drill? Is it because the recovery of the person playing the wider forehand would be effected if the ball is kept in play?

Hi Shaji,

Because you are making a big movement to the wide ball it is best to stop after that ball so you can practice that particular movement more times.

Effective Third Ball

Don't just hit your third ball attack as fast as you can every time. Firstly it is a risky strategy and secondly your opponent starts to anticipate your shots. Think about varying your spin, speed and placement. In this master class we explain what makes a great third ball attack and Jeff shares some of his personal favourite third ball tips.
