Hi Alois,

After every shot I can't help but move back this is bad but it allows me to hit harder shots but if the rally goes on for long enough I have to lob, I have tried putting a barrier behind me whiles training and it helps a bit are there any other ways to help me stop this habit?

Hi Virgil,

The barrier is good but make sure you only leave it there for a short amount of time while training and then take it away and see how you go.  If you are stepping back again, you can re-introduce the barrier.  Keep putting it there and making it away otherwise you will become reliant on it in a math situation.

#15 - Using Depth

In this session we talk about the length of your placement. Often we think that we need to always hit the ball deeper and faster however sometimes playing a shorter ball during a rally can catch your opponent off guard. If this happens to you, you need to ensure you are able to move forward and deal with the shorter ball.
