Hi Alois,

What are techniques we left handers may use when WE encounter right handers?

What are strategies when I face a leftie?

(I am also a LEFTIE)

Regard,

Judah

Hi Judah,

As a left hander you should try to exploit the slight differences in angles especially with your serves.  Players aren't as used to receiving left handers serves.  The Pendulum serve you can slide across the right hander which they may not be used to or like.

During the rally I found the backhand down the line was useful because that was able to be directed into the right handers backhand which in many cases was their weaker side.

I definitely agree - I play left-handed and I've found that backhands down the line to your opponent's backhand (assuming of course they are right-handed) are very effective.
