Hi Alois ,

Often while playing a ball comes towards my forehand ( I am right handed ) very low. I am not able select a proper shot, so I have to lift the ball very high which gives my opponent a chance to play a smash. Which shot should I play in this condition?

Hi Mihir,

You should play a forehand topspin against this type of ball. As it is low, you'll need to lift it. Use a brushing action though to generate plenty of topspin which will allow the ball to get up and over the net and then dip down onto the table.

You can also think about the placement of your shot. If your opponent is attacking your topspin with their forehand, try placing it to their backhand.
