Is another push technique necessary with carbon

I played 2 years with a Primorac, now 1 year with a Korbel. A coach advised me to go for the primorac again but with tenergy 05fx. It works quite well though the speed is less.

I bought the Timo Boll spirit blade last year because I wanted to own one before they would ever stop producing it. I glued some soft rubbers on it last week just for fun and I must say it plays amazing. There is so much dwell time that the attacking control is much much greater than the above blades. Attacking is so ridiculously easy with this blade...

There is a downside. It seems that I need another technique for short pushes because the ball is easily driven to the net. Is this normal for carbon blades? If I just lift the ball, I can keep it short but any forward movement makes the backspin crawl into the rubber and dive into the net. a pity.....

Hi Thijs,

It is nice that you have found something that you like.  For the push try opening the angle of you racket even more.  then make sure you are brushing finely under the ball to keep it low.  That may help.
