Strategy
I used to be an offensive player when i was a bigginer(due to counters.)
If i thought that it was smashable, i used to hit it... but now i tend to just push the ball and defend topspins instead of using any attacking strokes
how do i overcome this fear of punching the ball out?
during practice i'm fine but during matches i am scared to smash and thereby allowing the opponent to start attacking.
Hi Nsri,
You should start working on making some attacking strokes during some practice games. Make sure you implement the strategy that you want to play with. You have to give up the result for thinking about improvement. So don't focus so much on the result, think about playing well.
Implement a strategy that whenever the ball is long you are going to make a topspin or attacking stroke. If you are strong with this you will start to improve.
