FH players with weak backhand

I am a strong fh player but I cant play back hand .when the ball comes at back hand I go to play fh n lose my point !!! my back hand is weak

I need to improve it because I am selected for inter school under 14... please help!!!!!

Hi Aatif,

Take a look at our lesson on the Backhand Counterhit.  Work hard on this stroke and try to get the feel for it.

Then in training make sure that whenever the  ball is on the backhand half of your table, you should play a backhand. This will start to change your position at the table and also your confidence in making the backhand stroke.

A common weakness of penhold players is their forehand block especially against a slow spinny topspin. Their backhand may be a weakness if they use the traditional style, or you may wish to explore the crossover point if they are using the reverse penhold backhand.
