How to pick up speed in a rally

I've seen a lot of videos in which the speed starts to be very slow in the service but as the third ball attack goes on, I'm trying to wonder how the speed is getting faster without the use of drives and smashes. How do you turn your speed to be very fast in a rally? If possible, can you show us how?

Hi Cloud,

Players generate a lot of speed with the 3rd ball by using the topspin strokes.  The serve tends to be slower to keep the ball short so that it doesn't give your opponent the opportunity to attack.

Topspin will allow you to hit the ball faster because the topspin will bring the ball down onto the table.
