Strategy
Hello,
I was serving several of the serves that you suggest but how to I choose the best one to use?
Hi Luke,
The most effective one is the one that your opponent doesn't like at the time.
It is important to have a range of serves. Initially in the match try a wide variety of serves and then as you see how they handle them you can start to narrow the serves that you use. Utilise the serves that you are finding to be effective.
You need to also be watching the opponent, see if you can gauge which serve they are expecting. It may be something subtle like the way they are leaning, expecting a forehand or a backhand.
This is something that you will start to learn over time.
