Strokes
HI COACH!
while practising my forehand counterhit,it requires more energy for me to play a fast forehand counterhit whereas in my backhand counterhit, it takes much less energy for me to play a fast backhand. Some of my training partner said that I can't balance my both legs during forehand counterhit which causes a slow forehand counterhit
what are the causes of my slow forehand counterhit ?how can I increase my counterhit speed?
Hi Haris,
Certainly balance will help. The other thing is not trying too hard. If you try hard your muscles will tense up and then you will use more energy than you need to. By staying relaxed, especially in your shoulder area you will start o increase the speed of your shots.
Then you need to get your bat moving through faster along the same path as you would for a slow shot. Keeping your technique is important.
