Hi Alois Rosario,

I am Touhid from Bangladesh. I teach in university. I play TT in my campus with one of my colleagues. We have been playing for about three years. We were more or less regular. We improved a lot but it seems we have got stuck now and not improving any more. Any suggestion to get out of this situation.

Hi Touhid,

In Table Tennis there is a period where you are learning strokes and technique that you can gain quick improvement.  Once you have these basic techniques, progress become slower.  Each step from there is a smaller step that takes more table time.

It is a stage that a lot of players stop playing because they don't feel the same progress.

The key is to persevere and put in the hours on the table.  The progress will come as long as you are training efficiently.

At the top level, progress is even slower.  That is why it often take a young player several years to really establish themselves at the top of the sport.
