Training
Hi Alois,
When I play I have trouble switching my forehand to a back hand if the ball is coming down to my backhand. Please advise a drill to work on this deficiency. Thank you
Abdullah
Hi Abdullah,
To improve this you can do a lot of switching drills in training. One simple one is to get your training partner to control the ball alternately to the two sides of the table and you switch from forehand to backhand.
Download a free copy of our Training Drills from the Free downloads section of our site. In there you will find a whole lot of drills that you can utilise. Look for the PingSkills drill and the Triple switch drill. These will also help.
Question actions
This is the second training plan focusing on match strategy. Last week we looked at your strengths and building a game around that. This week you should examine one of your competitors and pick out their weaknesses. Then you can design some training drills to expose those weaknesses. By doing this you'll be able to exploit them in a match situation and win points more easily.
