for the forehand smash which part of the arm is used?is the shoulder used as well?and how to do a backhand smash can you all come up with a video with it as well?and one last question how do i smash a high backspin ball and sidespin balls the balls curves n arc thus making it hard to smash....because you didnt cover how to smash these kind of balls as lobs at higher levels are more tricky to smash and easier to error

Hi Yong,

You use your whole arm for the smash.  You need to start with your bat up high at around shoulder level so that you can come through flat and straight.

To smash a high backspin bal you need to open up the angle of your bat a little to allow for the backspin. This is something that we will cover in a video response to a previous Ask the Coach question.  Keep a watch out for it.
