First, I'd like to say your video lessons have helped me so much so thank you for that. My problem is sometimes when I'm playing my forehand is awesome and I can really hammer the ball and it dips A LOT, but sometimes it's like it has no topspin and the ball just kind of floats, long. This is very frustrating when I am trying to hit the ball faster.

Could you give me the absolute neccesities for a forehand topspin to check for if my topspin is not working eg. at least how low should I start, how forward and how vertical should the stroke be etc.?

Also, how high over the net should a forehand topspin be aimed for fast, medium and slow topspins?

Hi Tevia,

I think the impotant thing for you is to focus on the contact.  you say that sometimes the ball floats.  This will be because of the topspin.  During tarining just watch to see what type of contact you ar egetting on the ball.  Don't focus too much on everything else because it sound slike you are doing these things well most of the time.  So by focusin g on the contact you will get the spin to make the ball keep dipping.  Ensure the contca is a brushing contact.

The other variables change with every stroke dependin gon the height of the ball how much spin is on the balland how fast you want to hit it. Focusing on the contact will give you the topspin to get the ball on the table.
