Strategy
I play matches in a weekly session lasting four hours.
In order to have maximum energy to keep going the whole session:
1 How soon before play should I eat a meal?
2 Do I need a booster snack halfway thru the session?
Hi Tony,
I am not a nutrition expert but from my experience I used to find eating about one to two hours before was good as long as it wasn't too heavy. Things like pasta are good. Then during the 4 hours, keep having small snacks. I used to find fruit buns perfect during a long tournament.

Buns sounds a good idea.

Eat 8 eggs with lots of cheese and cream for breakfast, then just have some fruit or something else to get appropriately sugar hyped for big games :-)
Lunch and dinner optional.
Thanks Tony and thank Johan for your suggestions.

At all the Tournaments that I go to I see banana's everywhere, even international events.
