Hi Alois and Jeff
I've noticed different defenders play differently. what are the different types of defensive play?
Joo Se Hyuk chops with both forehand and backhand while players like Chen Weixing and Gionis Panagiotis chop with backhand and counterattacks with forehand. Is this the difference between a defender and a 'modern' defender?
I did see Chen weixing chop with his forehand, but he twiddles his racket so the long pimple rubber is on the forehand, why doesn't he chop with normal rubber on forehand like Joo?
(Watch the first point). why does Gionis Panagiotis twiddle his racket several times during the rally. Does the long pimple rubber make a big difference?

Hi Carson,
The long pimple rubber does make a big difference with the effect of the ball and that is why the players will twiddle to give their opponents some variation.
Panagiotis will twiddle to use the inverted rubber whenever he want to attack or topspin the ball with either forehand or backhand.
