Hello coaches

Today one of my teammates told me that I do not think during my game, can you please tell me how to make it somehow effective, when I must mainly focus on moving and not missing the ball?

Hi DK,

This all comes with time.  Initially you need to spend a lot of time thinking about how you play your strokes. After they become more automatic you can start to think about strategies.

Well, something you can do without much thought is trying to chop or push the ball with different amount of speed (and a different trajectory), whenever you have a bit more time to do something more than just react.

That should get you some more errors on the part of your opponent, while you still stick to Alois' advice of focusing on your strokes and bringing balls back on the table.

Good point Johan: "whenever you have a bit more time to do something more than just react."

80%of the time, I have no choice but just react

I am so slow that some players can make me run like idiot around the table just by pushing.

That is why I train like hell -and no improvement is visible.
