Hey Alois I have a question for you that might interest ping skillers. Do defenders feel pressure more than attackers or is this just a myth. Extreme attackers seem only to be too willing attack and ready to attack at any given moment. Defenders are much more patient.

Is there any different in their attitudes to pressure I was wondering mmmmm.

Hi Justin,

This is an interesting question.  I would say that it is more difficult for attackers in pressure situations.  The defender can be controlled and keep the ball on the table whereas the attacker is often forced to make the play.

I wonder what others think...

i think the one that give pressure is the player
but i think that it depends on their skills, if they're good and defending and can take all you strokes, it'll give you pressure and also if they're a fast attacker will give you a lot of pressure too

Is this like Ma Long's struggle against Wang Hao in WTTC

Hmm an interesting question indeed...I suppose...from my perspective it all depends on the player.  If you are a defensive player then you probably are sitting pretty cozy back there blocking and lobbing it's what you do it's your comfort zone.   Same for an attacker.  I feel pressure would come from having to compromise your game play such as being an attacker put on the defensive (me 90% of the time lol )  I have an attackers heart and tend to end up defensive most of the time...there...I feel not comfortable at all and for me I'd rather miss a point at least bringing the fight back to the table rather than standing back and missing a block or something  but that's me :) happy...pinging lol

I am an alround player sometimes i play 100% full on blistering attacks. Other times i play very defensive. Then i can do both 50% attack and 50% defensive. I wish i was more of an attacker much more. I tend to loop more than anyting forhand and back hand fast-medium-slow and loop smah kills drives.

I loop more than i counter attack. I believe when i am attacking i have less pressure and feel less presure.
