Defeating opponents with dead rubbers

I have been struggling against opponents with dead rubbers as they reflect the spin very easily, I cannot give loose balls as I got used to spinning and my rubber is very tacky.

Hi Sohan,

Try putting backspin on the ball to them.  This will come back with some topspin to you which is an easier ball to attack.

Tactics Against Penhold Players

When playing penhold players it is important to remember to first analyse your opponent as you would if they used any grip. What are their strengths and weaknesses? Their backhand may be a weakness if they use the traditional style, or you may wish to explore the crossover point if they are using the reverse penhold backhand.
