hi, I am a good table tennis player but from 1 week I don't know why I am losing my confidence in myself and feeling afraid against anyone but before this week I had good confidence in myself and I was not afraid of anybody. My question is how can I gain my self-confidence back and avoid being afraid. Thanks in advance.

Hi Abhinav,

This happens sometimes to players.  The best thing is to go back one step.  Start doing the things that you can do well.  Understand that with time this will get better.  Everyone goes through low patches.

Just keep training hard and things will turn around for you.

Hi Abhinav,

I sympathize with your problem as I have just got over a belt of it myself.

International coach Larry Hodges [he's the best] gives this advice:  Most players think you get good and this gives you

confidence;  but it's the other way round.  Assume confidence and you will become good!

How to 'assume' confidence?  Easy.  Just keep telling yourself that you are Good [regardless of any evidence

to the contrary] - and you WILL be!

Trust me, it works.
