Hi alois

Hi, ive got a problem where i don’t twist properly and the speed of my topspin drives are slow

I got the starting and ending positions right but i dont twist much with the hip and the only thing that twists from me is my shoulder.

how can i fix it and do more twists for more power and consitency?

thx alois :)

Hi Amekun,

Start by doing the forehand stroke slowly.  While you are doing the stroke, get your free hand up in a good ready position.  Then make a circle around your body to the right with the free hand as you are going back in the backswing.  As you are playing the stroke make the circle around to the left.  This will give you feedback as you the rotation of your body as you are playing.

If you do this really slowly to start with, perhaps even with one ball at a time, you will start to get the feeling of the rotation.  As you feel more comfortable, you will be able to do this faster in a rally situation.
