My friend is coming over tomorrow to learn how to play table tennis. Even though I am highly experienced wand is advanced in table tennis, I have no clue on how to teach a complete beginner on table tennis. Do you have any advice for how to teach a beginner? (he already knows the rules and spin)

Hi Jason,

It is great that you are wanting to help your friend with their game.

I would follow the basic videos we have in our Basic Strokes section.  You could even show the videos to them.  Stay with the basics of the strokes first.  Most importantly let them enjoy playing it first and see what they want to learn.

The key focus is keeping the elbow still to anchor the motion, allowing for greater wrist acceleration and more spin. A small adjustment that can make a big difference to your serving game.
