Backhand vs forehand

Training

Okay I am apparently a somewhat backhand dominant player as I found out the other day my question is, in training, how much time should I give towards  training the backhand vs the forehand?  Should I train them equally or focus more on the forehand to catch it up?

Hi Sean,

I would train them equally.  Even though you are currently forehand dominant, things do change and you don't want your forehand to be a weakness.

#15 - Using Depth

In this session we talk about the length of your placement. Often we think that we need to always hit the ball deeper and faster however sometimes playing a shorter ball during a rally can catch your opponent off guard. If this happens to you, you need to ensure you are able to move forward and deal with the shorter ball.
