Hi Alois,

Do normal rubbers become anti spin rubbers after dying. Also, when should we understand that we need to upgrade to a custom racket. Also can we just change the rubber of a pre made bat and start using it again, does it become a custom racquet.

Hi Bhavesh,

If the rubber dies it has the same effect as an anti-spin rubber.

If you rub the ball or your finger across the surface of the rubber you should feel it grip.  If it is not gripping then the rubber is dead and it is definitely time to change.

A lot of pre made bats can be used as a custom bat blade by changing the rubber on them.

Take a look at our video on Choosing a Table Tennis Bat for more help on these topics.

Hi Alois,

I have another doubt, then when do we know that we should change our blade. If my blade breaks then can I use the rubbers for another blade by taking them out of the broken blade

The blade will last a long time.  I used one for 20 years.  If it does break you can take the rubber off and put the rubber on a new blade.
