Learn where to and where not to place the ball when serving.
i am improving our service & improving speed how can i improve our speed in table tennis
To hit the serve faster you need to get a flatter contact. Get the first bounce close to you on your side of the table and also get the ball low over the net. then hit the ball as fast as you can to start with and see how close you can get it to land on the end of the table.
Saludos desde Colombia, quiero felicitarlos. Es un video muy claro y util.
Oh, that's why my partner could always smash my serve...
what to do, if our opponent applies same on us?
When receiving, watch the ball from their hand and track it carefully to give yourself the best chance to make the return.
i rate it ***** stars

It is great that you are entering a match. Look at it as a good way to try out your skills. Just go out there and try to play your best and see what you can do. You are already whatever level you are, just see what that level is.
Let us know how you go with it.

Its really good to see that you are showing the basics of serve so properly.......
Gr8 work all the bes
Is there are really slow serve where the ball rebounds several times in opponent's side. I have recently bluffed it in my practice where I threw the ball very high and just made a faint touch while serving and my opponent was amazed.I made sure I held the bat very loose in my wrist for that faint contact.
Yes that can be a good serve to do as well.
Thanks Alois.Btw what is that serve called as technically because there's no spin at all on the ball.
Just a flat serve.
It's that's simple ! haha !.
Thanks for the awesome video. How does Alois hold the bat when he's doing the serve? Is he keeping the shakehand grip for it?
I am just relaxing the fingers around the handle for this serve. A bit like the Pendulum serve grip but not as loose.
Would it be good to start learning the serve the way you are doing it right there? Serving is my biggest weakness right now. I can toss the ball up in the air and hit the ball and serve successfully but in the bad areas :( and I don't even serve the way you do. I just hit the ball with a regular counterhit stroke and I can't generate good enough spin or vary the speed of the ball with that sense of control. I want to incorporate this style and turn it into the pendulum serve once I master that basic shakehand serve.
This would be a good way of developing your serve.
Ok. Thank you Alois!
