Play with more power!

Stay relaxed. This is the number one tip for generating more speed. It is quite a natural reaction to try and tense all your muscles when you are trying to hit the ball as hard as you can but this won't lead to increased power. Watch this master class to learn the correct way to generate more speed in your strokes.

This video relates to session 17 of your PingSkills training plan.

Is there any difference how the ball bounces on the opponents side of the table compared than you loop vertically and horizontally?

Hi Mindaugas,

With a vertical loop the ball will tend to bounce a little higher.  With a horizontal stroke it will move more forwards.

The ball will bounce a little higher with the slow loop.  This can be an advantage as it is different for the other player.  Sometimes it forces them to move forward to the ball.

With the stroke, I think the body should all work together.  If one comes before the other you will get out of time.
