Should I change my rubber

Right now I am using tenergy05 on forehand and xiom Vega on backhand side with yinhe T6+ blade but I have a very long stroke on forehand and ball tends to fly away from table while playing close from the table but in mid range the speed is okay but I cannot get that power and my backhand blocks lack accuracy (while  playing with my friends bat who uses tacky rubber both on forehand and backhand my strokes were good and accurate while playing close to the table and my mid range was more spinny and powerful, he used hurricane 3 neo FL AND Hurricane 3.

Should I start using Chinese tacky rubber and if I should can you recommend me some budget Chinese rubbers

Hi Edvin,

It sounds like you have found something that suits you with your friend's racket.  You can get something just like that.

I would ask them if you can borrow it for an hour or two and play seriously with it.  Then make your decision.  often a first hit feels good but then when you need to play short or work on serves it may not be.  It is important to give it a good road test.

If you're trying out Chinese rubbers, I recommend Friendship 729 Super FX Bluesponge. It might be a bit slow, but it offers good spin and great control. The best part is, it's only a little over $12 (USD) on tabletennis11.com. It's a little softer than most Chinese rubbers, but it has many choices of sponge thickness. If you're going for something harder, I'd recommend DHS Skyline TG3 NEO or DHS Hurricane 8 mid hard. Even harder, DHS Hurricane 3 NEO and DHS Skyline TG3. If you have a really good and consistent stroke (hip turn, weight transfer, straight elbow at the start and bent elbow at the end) I suggest getting something like Hurricane 3. If you want to look for more, go on tabletennisdb.com and go look for rubbers under DHS and Friendship/729- they mostly sell Chinese-style rubbers. You can check the sponge hardness of each of them and compare their properties to find which one is best for you. I hope this helps.

I've not used Friendship 729 Super FX before, but for Hurricane 3 Neo, due to higher degree, you need to hit very hard and have a finer contact to generate more spin; however, it has higher spin limit that Tenergy. You can use Hurricane 3 Neo for forehand or Hurricane 8 as of Andy's suggestion, and perhaps softer Tinarc 3 or Skyline 3 Neo for backhand?
