Serving
Hi coach
I recently practiced on a short side-topspin serve down the line, but it doesn’t really work out.
The problem I have is that after the first bounce the sidespin takes the ball more to the middle of the table.
Or is serve and I miss the table/ hit the edge of the table because the sidespin action takes the ball too much to the left side of the table (I’m right handed and I serve from the backhand corner).
So how do I perform a short side/topspin serve down the line?
Thanks
Hi Rob,
You won’t get so much turn on the ball if the ball travels faster. This will make the ball go straight after the first bounce but it will still have sidespin on it.
