Equipment
Hi Coach, I regularly see your coaching videos and tips and do not miss your funny parts as well. I am from Sri Lanka. I have been playing TT for the last 21 years. I am neither a beginner nor a national-level pro player. I have visited your store.
I understand that Mark V is good for beginners but there is another one Rakaza 7, are that good for speed and spin purposes? I play very well however I have financial constraints to buy extreme level racquets. Is the one available in your store a custom build one with Rakaza 7 that meets my standard and expectation? Also, could you explain to me about the blade attached to those rubber?
Thank you
Ishthi
Hi Ishthi,
I think the Rakza bat would be suitable. The blade is an All round wood. The Rakza gives you a bit more speed and spin than the Mark V.
Here are some details from the Store section of the website. Let me know if you have any other questions about it.
It is a 5 ply all wood blade. The centre layer is Ayous wood. The 2 inner layers are made of koto, and the outer surface layers are fineline wood. It has a speed rating of 7.5, control rating of 8.2 and weighs 83g.

Hi Thangavel,
i haven’t got any suggestions for Penhold rackets. Some of our readers may have some. Regarding rubber, get something like Yasaka Rakza 7 or similar speed and spin.
