How to manage playing against a player with a combination bat?
Hi Peter,
The main thing is to get a feel for the 'different' side.
I would start my playing to one side of the table to get used to that side and get a bit of rhythm with your game. As you start to feel a bit more comfortable, start to play the ball around a bit. Start tp probe which side is weaker and where their general weaknesses lie.
Sometimes a player will play with a pimple rubber on one side because they are not as confident on that side. Probe that to see if you can find any weaknesses there even if you don't feel comfortable playing to that side.
