Serving
Hey coach it's me again mark I'm going to question you how to chop serve can you teach me that if you can show me a video if it is not true Just inform tnx
Hi Mark,
To do a chop serve you need to brush down on the back of the ball or brush under the ball. Doing both of these will get the ball rotating backwards which is backspin.
Then it is a matter of making it land on your side and the other players side of the table. The best way is to get it to bounce really close to you on your side.
Try this out and let me know how it goes.

Hi coach,,, I have a problem of my backspin serve... sometimes I get it right and sometimes wrong....I brush it under but it the ball will bounce high...sometime,,,low but it is just a luck if I get it correctly.. Can you give me some advice or some basics for doing this right????

Hi Meynard,
Because you are brushing the ball finely, it is a very difficult skill to get consistent. That is why practice is vital. Keep going the way you are and keep observing your results with this. You will find there will be some good ones and some bad. That is OK, the more you do it the more good contacts you will get.
