The technique for topspin against topspin is very similar to all our other forehand techniques. You start down low and finish up above your eye level. Because you tend to be further back from the table when playing topspin against topspin, you can have a longer swing compared to other forehand strokes. As your opponent has put a lot of topspin on the ball, you don't really need to lift the ball up, it is more a matter of hitting the ball forward and generating your own topspin on the ball. The angle of your bat will be quite closed to counter the topspin on the ball.

Topspin To Topspin (Loop to Loop)
Tactically when you are playing topspin against topspin, you should try and get the ball very deep on the table to force your opponent as far away from the table as possible. Try to also vary the direction of your strokes and even get the ball into your opponents backhand which is often not as strong as their forehands. A great way to gain advantage is to get closer to the table so as soon as you see a shorter ball, try and force your way in and make a powerful stroke.
