Introduction to Table Tennis Rubbers
The various types of rubbers all have different effects on the ball when playing your strokes. In addition, the different types of rubbers react differently when a spinning ball hits them. This is partly due to the different friction levels.
Friction levels from highest to lowest
- Normal rubber
- Short pimples
- Long pimples
- Anti spin
At PingSkills we recommend that beginners use normal rubber. This is because the friction of normal rubbers allows you to learn the basic strokes with the correct technique.
