How To Counter A Slow Spinny Topspin

After you play a backspin stroke, your opponent may choose to play a slow spinny topspin. This can be a difficult stroke to deal with. In this lesson we show you 3 options for dealing with such a shot. The first is to use soft hands and block the ball. The second technique is to punch the ball. The third technique is to counter topspin the ball. The counter topspin is the most difficult stroke to master but will also be the hardest for your opponent to deal with. The soft block and the punch are fairly equal in the level of difficulty. Watch the video to see each of these techniques in action. Here are a few pointers for each option:
