Hi Alois and Jeff,

I want to ask which rubber is better between the tenergy 05 or the tenergy 64.

I own a tenergy 05 and i love it but i am not too sure about the tenergy 64.

i hope you do a video about this but if you cant for any sort of reason like if the rubber is too expensive then you cannot do a video.

thanks for reading my question,

Hi Ashley,

Most of the top players use the 05.  It is a bit faster than the 64.  It just depends on which one suits your game better.

alois, i own both a 64 and a 05. however, i have a 05fx and it seems to me that the 05fx is a superior rubber. thanks, steve

Alois im sorry but your wrong, actually the Tenergy 64 is faster that the Tenergy 05, but the Tenergy 05 is a little bit more spinny.

it depends which blade u r using it on. hard or soft blades, since t05 is hard rubber it is faster on a soft blade. and opposite

I own the Joo See Hyuk ST Blade and I just got Feint Long III Japanese OX, i was wondering which Tenergy i should use since I play a modern Defense style and am looking for a very good Counter attacking rubber on my forehand

Darren,

I think you must use a long pips rubber in your backhand and something like the Takifire class c soft in your forehand...

From Butterfly's marketing it seems Tenergy 05 is for close to the table attacking and Tenergy 64 is for mid-distance attacking.  As a modern defensive player, you would be attacking more from mid distance so I'd go with Tenergy 64 out of the two.  I might be wrong but I recall reading that Joo Se Hyuk uses Tenergy 64 on his FH?  The Tenergy 05 FX has a softer sponge (and therefore better control, less speed - some reviews suggest it is easier to loop against backspin with it).  I used to use Tenergy 05 on my FH and Tenergy 05 FX on the BH and it was an excellent combination.
