In Table Tennis, I keep seeing words such as "sitting duck" when I'm watching videos about top skilled players against defensive players who keep on chopping and slicing. I keep seeing something about for example Ma Long vs Joo Se Hyuk(defensive player) on the comments like "the Chinese have encountered so many defensive players, in which they can just turn them into a sitting duck." I'm puzzled, what is sitting duck?

Hi Cloud,

Sitting Duck just means an easy target.  If a duck was sitting still it is easy to shoot.

So if a defensive player is described as a sitting duck it just means that you can hit through them or beat them easily.

Oh, thank you very much. I've been looking forward to know what that actually means. I've been through a lot of tournaments and most of them had been defensive players. I never knew I was doing the sitting duck technique against them, and I won 2 tournaments through that. Thanks, coach!
