Hi

I have an old blade that I got years ago. On the blade it says Donic Mastercarbon Senso with V1 sticker. I couldn't find the information on this blade from googling, but the name suggests that it may be for offensive players.

I'd like to put new rubbers on this blade as I started playing the TT again recently and I want to get some advice. I'm still beginner. I am comfortable with the counter hit on both sides but still learning to drive consistent topspin. I'd like to build the racket that is easy to control and for all-around with the current blade.

I am thinking of one of the Sriver rubbers but there are so many options. There are original, FX and EL. There are also different thickness from 1.5mm to above 2mm. Which Sriver rubber should I buy?

Thank you for your help!

Hi Harry,

I would just go for the original Sriver or Mark V rubbers.  They are as good as anything.

Thank you for your answer. How about the thickness? What I heard is that thinner the rubber the more control you get. But how thin I should go with? Thanks!

Yes, the thinner the more control, the thicker the more spin and speed.

I would go for 2mm in those rubbers as they are not very fast rubbers anyway.
