I remember browsing a Table Tennis site that listed various types of strokes and shots.  They had listed Chop-Kill but no information on it at all. 

I dont' think I've seen many chops used purposes other than defense.

Hi Will,

This is probably referring to a smash that you do but put backspin on it.  It is a bit of a lairy stroke and not one that I would recommend.  It is a little like a tennis smash but putting backspin on the ball.  It makes the ball rise very quickly off the table and usually over your opponents head.  It is quite risky that is why I wouldn't recommend it.

 I've done those a few times just fooling around with my friends.

 It is extremely risky though as I know I've tried to do them and it just goes off the table..   But it does seem to throw the opponent off if they're expecting a flat/topspin smash and the ball flies over their hand!
